Took a lil trip down to Palestine with my frat bro Ronnie for a lil thumping fun!!! The weather was nice an kool which made it an absolute beautiful morning! Bridges and brush piles in 15' of water produced the best! I was surprised to see fish under docks. Lanes purple frog and Bonehead salt and pepper slim sticks(with pink head) produced the best! Pearl ice with pink head was nice as well! The slabs were knocking the fire outta those slim sticks and TBox's stump bug!!! Ronnie put in work with the new G-Rod! That bad boy is super light an you not only feel but actually see the thumps which was pretty kool! Not in my price range so I stuck to my Pro Anglers and Jason did damage as usual with the ol faithful Bonehead! We ended the day with 21 in the kooler! If dinks were keepers, we would've had a 2 man limit for sure! Check out what Jason's Bonehead vs Ronnie's G-Rod produced:
Katchin krappie...doin surgeries(filleting)...and givin hott grease baths until krunchy and golden brown is what it's all about!!!

It was an awesome morning on the water with two great guys! We have fished together several times now and its always a blast. As mentioned above those little 6" crappie have invaded my brush piles. We had to pick through a bunch of them to get the quality fish we did. I am starting to see some fish move under the docks and that pattern should only get better as the month goes on. Ronnie put that G-Rod though its paces and it seemed to perform great. I also used a new prototype color TBOX left for me and caught several fish on it. Pepops grape limeaid and sour grape Slab Bandits also came into play. The cooler weather sure is nice. I almost forgot what it was like to fish and not sweat your butt off. I have several more trips scheduled this month and have open dates in November. Let me know if your interested in a trip. Thanks again guys and Ill see y'all in a couple weeks.

What a beautiful day to be on the water! Always a blast when fishing with Jason and my Frat Brother! I'm liking my new G-rod and a new experience for me was using braid and a fluro-leader.I could really feel the very light bites as the pic w/Jason shows my 1st crappie caught on the G-rod was a 6" crappie.Gonna take me a little adjusting to a 9' rod as comapared to using an 8' for the last 2-3 years. This is just "my opinion",the G-rod is light as if i'm holding one of my cork rods in the 8'length.I do agree for the price,if would've been nice to have a hook keeper, but the rod itself works out for me just fine."In no way am i getting any compensation for my remarks just made.I've been asked my opinion of the rod by several members and this is it.I'm no expert at any of this as a lot of you know, that truly know me,i'm going to call as i see it.Just praying I get to continue to do this thing called "CRAPPIE FISHING"! As for me,on any future trips I do have,I hope to give other rods i have an equal chance as well, crappie advantage and my pro anglers....
