While going over a COE brush pile and looking at it on the depth finder, a big ball of bait fish darkened the screen from 10' to 25'. I camped out over them for a couple of hours. Must have caught about 60 crappie - mostly small. I did keep 5 bigger ones (11-14") to blacken and eat while I watch the Cowboys beat up on the Saints tonight. Jig color did not matter, you just had to dangle the jig around 20' in the bait ball.
