It was time to put some fillets in the freezer, so I took a buddy to CC for a meat run. What a fantastic day of fishing!  This was my friend's first time on CC, and needless to say he was impressed.  We hit the water about 7:30am, and headed for a BP. Fish were stacked up in 16-18' of water, and we were catching them around 13' down. We picked up 3 BIG hogs early, all pushing 2lbs. Pulled about a dozen off that pile, then headed for a dock. It's not the best time for shooting docks, but you can still find a few fish on them. My buddy had never been dock shooting, so we had to hit a couple. Caught 15-20 off docks, which was enough to get him hooked.  We continued to bounce around a few more BPs and even a couple more docks. Stopped and fished one set of bridge columns and caught a couple keepers, but only fished that one for 10-15min. Too many good fish on BPs to mess with the bridges. Headed in after lunch with a 2 man limit, and at least a dozen in the 1.25-1.75lb range. REALLY good quality today, and about 90% black crappie. Fished 1/8oz JIGUM's "Grease Bath" jig all day on BPs and shot docks with a 1/16oz chart head and a pearl colored ShadPole.

took 15 good fish home. Glad to hear you're making a fisher woman out of her Matthew. By the way... Top 7 today would have easily been my best stringer ever on CC. Probably pushed 12lbs

It's just now starting to improve so I figure in a couple weeks or so these crappie outta be well into their Fall pattern and stacked up in their usual places. OR, if you want your fish cleaned & bagged, you can hook up with Jason Burton. He can sure help your "Empty Freezer Syndrome"!

nice job, I was out there on sat also fishing docks once the wind layed down I did pretty well ended up with 19 keepers.
