I'm going to the Brazos this weekend and am new to fishing with lures instead of live bait. Is there a certain size lure that should get hit by both sand bass and strippers? I've got inline spinners up to 1oz (figured that 1oz was too big for sand bass), rattle traps of all sizes, road runners, and soft plastic swimbaits and flukes from 3 inch zoom tiny fluke to 4 and 5 inch plastics. I've caught 4lb largemouths on 1/8oz rooster tails before and sand bass on 1/2oz ones, so I was wondering what you thought about a happy medium for both?

Just get some plastic shad lures.
The fake minnows or shad swim like a wounded one.
Sand bass cannot pass them up
