Had a Awesome weekend of Fishing! Caught 25-30 Each Day the wife and i went out Fishing Heres the BIG question!! First of all i read the water 3-4ft visibility, then Broke the Cove down in to 3rds from the shallow Flats to the Middle of the cove to the Mouth of the Cove, Located the Bait fish in the Middle of the cove, and Matched the Hatch with a Small swim Bait. Started wearing them out! now here the Kicker I had More Bass Follow my swim bait and chase it all the way to the Boat some would slam it Right at the boat others would Lose interest. I tried stopping it and letting it sink, Hopping it, speeding it up. slowing it down. i Changed to a Jerk bait, and a lipless Crank with no success. I mean we Really caught the [censored] or of the schooling fish for 3 days, on small swim baits. That is all they would bite. But still had even more fish (sometimes in Groups of 3-4) Chasing our swim bait back to the boat. only to lose interest, Just looking for some other ideas then what i was trying. Thanks

Did you try a 1/4 oz. silver, blue back, trap? Works for me when they won't hit a half oz.

i dont own any Umbrella Rigs. they are a little pricey right?? There are some smaller ones that aren't and rons rig in the for sale section sells some reasonably priced ones. But then you have to deal with a rod for them and I doubt your wife would enjoy throwing one very long. This works better than any lure I've ever used when they are schooling. Casts a mile and you can drag it slow or reel it fast. They all love it and hammer it. The only thing that ever follows it to the boat are the tiny things too small to take it.

Weightless double fluke rig. (Donkey rig). My favorite schooling fish bait/rig. You will still have fish chase that don't bite but I think every one has that problem. Try it

Weightless double fluke rig. (Donkey rig). THIS!!!!! Kills schooling fish. For educational purposes look up Scott Martin's version. Works great and you will enjoy it.

Try throwing the same bait in a different color or change up the one you are using by adding some additional color to it with a dye marker or dip n dye. I dip the tail on a lot of baits that I use.
