I am wanting to add some LED strip lights to my bass boat but don't know the best way to install them or wire them. I'm wanting to do the install myself but need some advice on where to wire them to get power to them. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You should avoid using any existing console power circuits that are sized and already in use for boat lighting or other accessories.

If you have unused switched accessory buses such as a Ranger boat's A1, A2 or A3 circuit, they can be used if your lights draw less than 5 amps.

Otherwise install a new switch and wire direct (through appropriate sized fuse) to the battery. Never add wiring and their added loads to the boat's factory installed switchable circuit breaker.

They are nothing to install. Before choosing a permanent location check them out at night. They can be pretty light and even blinding so you'll want to plan your install
