Allyse and i went chasing Alligator gar on the Trinity river, we ended up landing 5 of them from 30 to 110 pounds. Allyse has been practicing and got some time fighting everyone of the gar and caught the 3 small ones solo. The gar in this video is 6 foot 2 inches and weighs about 110 pounds. All my gar are released healthy to protect the species for future generations.

Landing a 5 foot gar around 70 pounds on the trinity river, this one gave us a pretty good fight and also jumped right next us getting its whole body out of the water.

Allyse managed to land 3 alligator gar solo with no help on the rod, the gar were all around 30 pounds and were released unharmed, she also helped fight the 6 foot 2 inch gar and 5 foot gar we caught. This is her third year on the river i was saying for a while pretty soon she wouldn't need my help at all..Good job Allyse!
