Fished a couple of hours this evening and had a great time. Lake was deserted mostly and I stayed shallow 5' or less. Just cover water with topwaters and confidence baits. Here is the biggest slot which touched 23" and the biggest under that was so close I would have checked it all day long had I caught it in a tournament. Very fun evening.

Probably 2 1/2 or better. did not weigh it. There was a sliver of space between the 16" and the tail but I bet if it relaxed it would have been a slot.
It inhaled a topwater in about 2' of water.

Action was consistent but they pulled hard when you hooked them which made it even better. the big slot came off a spot I have caught some 7-9lbers on in the past.

Nice fishing! I need to get back out there. Haven't been to Fork in awhile.

Nice Job,,,,,
I guess that just dispels a bunch of that lake Fork doom & gloom in the other 2 threads.
& it just proves my point for me in my "It does make a difference" thread.
If you know where the fish are and you are throwing what they want to strike at,,,,,,,, you can still catch fish,,,,,even on Lake Fork.
Great job !!!!

Definitely would have squeezed that tail until it touched that 16" line. Those size unders ought to start showin up a little more with the cooler weather coming in and they start gorging! Great fish Mark

What's the secret on the Topwater, I fished the splash and I had one little area off a point to myself all 3 days and the bass were blowing up everywhere , some big bass too, I probably there everything but the kitchen sink at them but couldn't never get them to commit, only a few on a square bill, i guess they had plenty of shad to eat cause shad was everywhere and also eating bugs or little pieces of grass or weeds.
