Image Shack has gone off line and has been off line for five days. They officially posted that they are working on the problem and hope to have everything fixed by the end of this week. I use Image Shack to upload my forum pictures. As a result of their crash a lot of my pictures have been removed from a lot of my post. Hopefully they can get back in service.

That stinks. Can they be recovered? I use photobucket and my library to post pics.

I have all my pictures in my personal library and they are all O.K. and back loaded. The problem is only my forum pictures were lost. Hopefully they can be recovered and posted back on my past stories.

I will also be switching to photo bucket!

I was wondering what happened to the pics on your posts Chuck.

Glad you have back ups. But hope all your posts can be recouped. Lots of good stories there !

For about $10.00 a month you can have your own domain with storage for your files. You may have noticed that my photos are posted using my wife's domain, which I administer. My wife, by the way, is the famous author Caroline Clemmons who writes western historical romance novels.

The upside of using your own domain is secure storage that will be properly backed up for as long as you pay the fee which only amounts to the cost of three boxes of worms a month.

I started with Image Shack, but left many years ago after recurring similar problems. Went to Photobucket, which has been great overall...

Photobucket is a good site but would be better if they would refrain from constantly redoing their site.
