Thinking of a quick 2 day trip to Caddo. Have never been before. Any good places to stay on the lake. wife is going as well. Also is the fishing usually decent this time of year? Thanks

No hotels, just some cabins.

Jefferson has some cool hotels...and not far away. Several B&B there....fun stuff for the wifey to do in case she doesn't fish all day.

Thanks. We were planning on going out of state this weekend but family illness at the destination might prohibit that. Since I am off anyway might as well take a trip.

I can't believe that ya'll never been. Bring a good map, and don't get lost!!

Fun place, make sure to sit an hour at the Johnson Ranch (in Uncertain) dock chatting to the locals. Walker Texas Ranger had a fight scene there. Knocked a man off the dock with one punch!

Fishing has been good.....pad fishing and punching grass. Check out Gator Lodge for a place to stay and you can put in at Potters Point. If I can help you out give me a holler.

Shady Glade resort is a pretty good place to stay. Has it's own boat ramp and a small restaurant.

Appreciate the offer. Is there a local place to get a good map?

Go to the State Park HQ and get one of the waterproof maps of the lake. Hands down the best map you will find.

Go to Riverport BBQ in Jefferson for some great food.
