Looking at getting into making my own jigs, not ready to spend a bunch but basically just wondering what most here use for: jig heads (w/ weed guard) and skirts? Ive looked at fishskirts.com and a few others, just wondering if there was a starter kit out there I haven't seen. Also, I haven't been able to find the type of heads I want yet, Im a big fan of the original SK hack attack jigs, in 3/8 and 1/2oz. Havent been able to find anything close yet(i.e. slender with more weight towards bottom, and vertical line tie around 20 deg) I also really like the living rubber or round rubber skirt material but haven't had much luck on that either.. Thanks for any help!

fishskirts.com has a few living rubber small packages that are already separated just like the silicon. Just not a large selection like I use in the rolls and have to separate. It takes about 10 minuets to build one skirt from scratch. I like their white and silver because the white is a bright white. All of the small tabs are small flat rubber though.

If you are set on a great jig that you have found and want it you have to pay the buck to have it done at CAST Industries. About $300 per jig mold and weight.

I bought most of these from Barlow's and also have lime and silver now to add to them. I order the small 1/4 lb. rolls. each roll will build about 100 skirts. I usually use a combination of 3 colors for all my spinner baits and jigs.

Here is a good starter kit for sale. I will take the spinnerbiat stuff off your hands.

Mr. Donald Harper thank you sir for the help! A mold would be nice, I just don't have the spare $ and time right now. I noticed Gary Klein uses the tube style skirt tool (at least on the video he did recently) so I would think that cheap $5 tool would be fine for making a few here and there. Just wish I could find some heads that were really close at least, I cant hardly get one hung up and love them. I hadn't looked at Barlows yet. Thanks again for your help!
