For my shuttle service I used Ambush Adventures.

Not for sure, but we may be there Thursday next week as we return from Arkansas. First choice is Whithrow Lake State Park. We'll see what happens.

Everything J Barlow said is bankable. I've fished the LMF for years, especially the river below the Reregulation Dam. We have caught 16 different species there this summer. Mac with Ambush is a great guy, and he will help you with shuttle services if you ask.
BUT, the COE is working on the hydroelectric part of the dam right now (9/28-10/8), and unless temps in the pools below the park get too high, they will not run water through the dam. That means the spillway, at 150 cfs, is the only water running down the river. That would definitely be a beating in a kayak right now. You would be dragging as much as paddling, and that's a long way to drag. The warmer water species would probably be pretty active, but trout won't be.
You might be better off paddling the bend inside the park where the park outfitter runs their kayaks and canoes.

I've caught largemouth, smallmouth, rainbows, browns, 1 walleye and huge sunfish through that stretch. Black over chrome crankbaits on spinning rod, and blue winged olives, black gnats on the fly rod.

Largemouth, spotted bass, smallmouth, white crappie, black crappie, white bass, walleye, sauger, spotted gar, rainbow trout, brown trout, drum, channel catfish, warmouth, bluegill, red breast sunfish.....there may be 1 or 2 other species that I can't remember. There are bugle mouth and buffalo carp in the river, but I've never fished for them.
