What are some of your guys's go-to flies for Largemouth Bass specifically in the fall? I know that they will begin to feed almost exclusively on baitfish patterns soon. Also, what are some of the most productive colors?

I've been tying these and doing good all September on the llano. I don't know where you are located or what river you fish but there are still tons of yellow hoppers around here, crawfish patterns work good in the fall. Colors in the hill country I like all shades of olive for any baitfish and some crawfish patterns, tan for any foam frog or hopper, and rust with a little red for larger crawfish flys. Mostly depends on water clarity, what wt. rod you want to use and the size of bass you are wanting to catch. Use bigger flys and back way off if you are going after Larger bass in the clear rivers.

Game changers, dalberg divers, large crystal chenile buggers are probably my top 3 large mouth flies

Gummy minnows or good ol' olive wooly boogers

I still need to get with lone star carper on his face smasher flys. I want the biggest ugliest fly I can find for bass. I don't go out looking for little Bass I want to fish water where I can stick a trophy at any moment. Stuff like this

Sort of depends on the forage of the body of water I am fishing. Fall the baitfish will be running to the backs of the creek and the bass will follow. Some places with a lot of rocks or hydrilla can have some great crawfishing patterns as winter sets in, Red hues further into late winter, along with Black/Blue when it's real COLD...

Bream will not be very active come fall and winter, unless you are on a power plant lake.

Based on your descriptions, how about some flies like these? Which ones would you personally recommend? Which colors in these would work best? Sorry, couldn't get the pictures to load.

I have found that in the fall you can toss much bigger flys like hairbugs and streamers in the 4 to 5 inch size range. Big bass will not turn away from a slow moving easy meal presented into their strike zone.. remember to strip-set the hook on these bigger flys and bigger bass.

Agreed...I'm throwing BIG streamers in the fall. Up to 6".

I've taken a page from what the guys do in the fall and winter to catch big brown trout, works great for bass. Big streamers on full sinking line.

Personally, I'd rather catch a handful(or less) of nice fish than a ton of small ones on smaller flies.

I started fly fishing a month ago and I love it. I know very little so this will be a good thread for me. I primarily catch bass and panfish and have had decent luck on a Woolly Bugger.

In the fall I would take a magnum threadfin shad pattern.

I caught my two biggest bass last year in September using Ben's froggy fly pattern. I had good luck with crawfish patterns once it started to get cold and the fish moved back deeper.
