I use a lot of chrome tape when doing my own vertical jigs for use offshore. Works well, adheres well and is pretty cheap. Much less messy than painting with chrome paint and sealers. Give it a try.

No worries. I was referring g to finushed baits as that is what most will need. Not a lot if 1oz models out there which is why they usually cost a bit more. It's all in fun. If you got your feathers ruffled I apologize.

I was told this would work. Most of it is a dipping process.
- Remove all the old paint by wet sanding down to the bone.
- Automotive primer in a spray can. Shoot two coats and let dry for 24 hours.
- Pint of Automotive Chrome and dip the bait using long nose pliers. Another 24 hrs. of drying time.
- Pint of Automotive Clear Coat dip the bait for final step and drying time is another 24 hours.

I believe I will just coat new baits with Divcon two ton and be done with it; but might be worth the trouble if you have a bucket full. Guess they will smell like a new car though.

Each person you work with holds some promise to your future success.

Bacon's Tackle in Shreveport has boxes of loose traps, in just about every color ever made.

He sells them with no hooks at a very good price. He has them in all sizes also.

Great job on the paint. Another option is Alclad II Lacquer in Chrome.
The trick to it is to paint a gloss black base coat. After 24 hour spray the "chrome" in very light coats.

Nah, not drama! It can actually be relaxing and therapeutic for some...
