Caught 31 keepers yesterday and had a great day. We were fishing in about 8 feet of water, light north wind. Sorry no pictures. We were using CJ's Shad bait on the bottom but at times they got so active we caught em on corks at 3 feet. About half were in the 2# range. Not quite winter fishing size but getting there. We were out last weekend fishing the same spots and caught nothing so this was a real thrill! Looking forward to the cooler weather, pelicans and cormorants and bigger winter sized fish. Had a buffalo (I hope) on that just kept pulling line out against the drag and didn't stop, ever. I couldn't do a thing. Finally got tangled in some brush. Makes me want to buy a much bigger rod and heavier line :-(
