Narrowed it down to these two lakes for an early November fishing trip. What would your preference be?

Tough choice but if hiring a guide, fork is pretty awesome in November

If I lived in Texas I'd go to Clear Lake which would be a trip.

If I lived in Cali I'd go to Fork. It's a vacation man. Travel.

You can go to the home state lake any time.

If I lived in between I'd listen to Jaret but shouldn't you be deer hunting in November?

Clear Lake! I just had a friend fish there last week and they caught some TOADS! Personally Lake Fork seems to be very much hit or miss when the water is cold. I do not like fishing Lake Fork much from early November to early January due to the inconsistency of the bite. I'm sure there are plenty of other Lake Fork fisherman who really enjoy the cold water bite and catch fish well throughout the colder months. The good news is that when you hook up with a largemouth from November to January on Lake Fork it's usually from a heavy fish! Regardless of which lake you choose, you have a shot of catching some solid bass!

Be sure and check the regs for Clear Lake. Some of those Cali lakes require a 3 star or better outboard emissions rating to launch.
