I want to fish Bonham for the first time tomorrow from my kayak. Do I need a boat permit for a kayak? How to get one? I want to be on the water at first light, of course.

I called the number on TPWD site but was transferred to vx mail. No response yet.

Thanks in advance!

I really don't know, but what I do know is 10 bucks is nothing and well worth not taking a chance of finding out the hard way

Theres a sign at the north ramp that says canoes and kayaks dont need a permit. When I had mine I bought one anyway though.
