Picked up a G-Rod last night. I got the 9ft crappie rod. Can't wait to catch some slabs later this afternoon on it. Anyone else here using one?

I currently working on a side by side comparison including the but not limited to the Bonehead, ProAngler and the G Rod.

I will let you know my thoughts soon.

I went from using a 4 1/2' Bass Pro rod to fish piles to a 7' G Rod. So far I like it alot. Bought a used Bonehead and used it once and it was just way too heavy going from those 4 1/2' rods, so little man has it now. The longer length is nice to be able to control the fish better for sure. We both have Pro Anglers as well and like using them w a baitcaster fishing straight timber or minnows on piles but swimming jigs over piles I'm really liking the G Rod. 4 1/2' still have a place on bridges and dock though. The balance on the 7' could be a little better, but I just hold my hand above the reel to balance it and that allows me to keep my pointing finger on the blank itself to help feel bites. Little man's still too rough on stuff to get his own G Rod, plus he likes the name Bonehead better anyhow so we're both happy!

I've been fishing with the 10'6" for a month or so now. Great rod for sure. A bit heavier than my 8' pro anglers, but i guess that is to be expected when you add a foot and a half of length. Side note: still have much love for my pro anglers cheers

Using a 7' G Rod most of the time. I like the backbone this rod has. Very similar to my 7' ML St Croix rods.

My Bonehead and ProAngler are fine rods, but I like a little more backbone to turn the head of larger fish and move them out of cover fast.

I bought the 6', 8', and 9' G-rods. OMG, they're sensitive!! I can feel every little thing- it's bat vision. I like to fish slip bobbers in the spring, which is why I got the 8 footer; that's what they are designed for. I use the 6 on docks and out of my canoe, the 9 is for the trees and drifting. I'll post pictures of my catch soon- going out today to fill my cooler. Thanks to Glen Miller and his Pro Staff for developing these and spending time discussing my fishing style and needs. Glen is one super smart guy,

I fished with the 9 ft rod yesterday for a little. This rod is awesome. Best choice I made. Next is a 7footer..
