2009 Z-7 later models had a cam-lock system for passenger console removal. Mine however has 9 large phillips head screw/bolts. When I unscrew these they just SPIN! Help!!

look inside the rod locker there should be some nuts with large washers under them it may also have some epoxy glue in between the surface areas.

You can't see anything like that inside the rod box, it's all carpeted. Also there's 3-4 of them that are anchored into the side of boat with NO access.

If you have any room under the head of the screw you may try putting another screwdriver under it and apply a little counter tension and see if that will help it back out.

Cut them off with a hack saw blade.

Put the plug in.

You mention 2009 Z-7's and later. What year is yours? If it's older than maybe the passenger console is not removable (at least not easily).

Well........finally got passenger console out. Could reach and remove front 4 bolts, however the five on the side are NOT accessible due to lots of rough fiberglass/tight fitting! Got an angle grinder and ground off bolt heads. Console off. Now just figuring out what to cover holes. Found some white flat plastic plugs that match real well. banana
