I have an HDS Gen 3. What is the best software to add, change, delete waypoints on a PC and then transfer to the unit? I have tried Hotmaps Explorer, but it is not too user friendly.

a lot of people use google earth to organize waypoints...

someone should build a very user friendly software for organizing them...

is not complicated it is just XML data that can be read by any software...

what if TFFers get together and we paid some programmers to do it. also a app haha

I use ExpertGPS for about 98% of all my needs. I used the free version (EasyGPS) for years before finally getting ExpertGPS. You can download a free trial. I don't remember for sure, but I think the only limit to the trial is the number of days you can use it. It costs $75 but I think it is very well worth it. It will open gpx files, import/export usr and google earth (kml) files. You can create and edit waypoints, trails and routes. All your info can be viewed on the built in topo map or satellite map. You can perform bulk edits. I even used to to import waypoints from an old Garmin unit that is about 17 years old.
