I'm thinking the change in weather should have fish on the move. Where are you guys finding them this time of year? My instincts tell me to go shallow, but I almost always catch fish shallow anyway.

Right now most of the shad and all of the catfish I have caught have been in over 20 feet deep. Now I think that will probably change when the shad go up the creeks.

Right now im catching fish and bait in all depths. Bigger bait has came from 20-35ft, but bigger fish so far have came from 1 to 20ft. Caught a limt one morning fishing in 1-3 foot then later that afternoon I set up on a deep water ledge in 65ft and caught a limit there too.

Flex press the shad run up the creeks in the fall and they do retreat to deeper water in the winter. I would say the shad should be moving up creeks by mid October.

Caught all my bait this morning in 1-5ft. The higher the sun got the shallower the bait was.
