 Ray Roberts, Drum everywhere?

Didn't use to think too much about catching a Drum now and then while Bass fishing. But now it seems a little too often, caught 5 on one trip and three on another. I just want to catch Black Bass, not drum, what am I doing wrong?

There's a lot of drum in Roberts, always have been, recently population growing more. Nothing you can do just toss em back and keep fishing.

I hear ya I caught a 14 lber and thought I had the lake record while fishing a friendly tournament against a couple buddies!
Took me 10 mins to get in and measured 26 and 1/2 inches pull it up and was dumb founded!!@!

Yes, catching fish, just not what I was looking for. I guess if they eat the Zebra mussel that is a good thing. Wow on that 14 pounder, I'll bet that was a fight!

Why the gripe ? your catchin fish.... You can't control what bites your lure. Catching is always good. I have eaten tons of drum. They are the redfish's cousin. They just don't get any respect.

Caught a 15lb drum once on a jig. Thought for sure I had a SAL.
Fun fish. I would not mind catching more.
