This afternoon tested my ability to adapt. It is obvious that my cache of fish has begun to transition. Water temp fluctuated between 84 and 87. I spent a lot of time covering water and marking way points. On the few stops I made, it was about patience and attention to detail. My fish came on square bills and shakey heads. All areas seemed to be secondary or minor points. The depth didn�t seem to vary much from normal, the location instead being the variable. In stained water, I used a crank bait accented by blues and greens. In slightly clearer water, I preferred an off- white color scheme. As for the shakey head, green pumpkin was the go-to, while a purple hue seemed best in deeper, stained water or low light conditions.
