Looking at upgrading electronics on the boat. Does the Lowrance structure scan transducer also have down scan? Or do I have to have different transducers to have SS, DS and regular sonar? I know that Humminbird if you have SI then it also has the other two just not sure about Lowrance.

The Lowrance HDS units Have Sidescan & Downscan & 2D traditional sonar built in.
there's 2 separate transducers needed:
1. The StructureScan TD, which does all 3: Left/Right and Downscan.
2. The 2D TD, does the traditional sonar ( arches ).
Lowrance sells them in different packages/bundles. Some include everything, some only come with the 2D, some are just the head unit. You would need to be aware of what you're buying to get what you want.

Structure Scan transducer has two SIDE SCAN crystals and one DOWN SCAN crystal.
No, only the Humminbird ONIX SI transducer has two SIDE IMAGING, One DOWN IMAGING, and 2D crystals.
The core unit SI transducer does not have a DOWN IMAGING crystal. DI is a blend of the two SI crystals.
