I got to know Bren because he was our contact point at Wilson Auto here in Garland. Straight forward, honest as the day was long and always a smile on his face. It wasn't until I had known him for 2-3 years that I even knew he fished! After that, our conversations got longer and they rarely involved the car. Bren fought the good fight against this insidious disease for a long time. The last time I saw him was at Baylor Garland in the Oncology Lab. He was in there for treatment as was I. He didn't know I was sick and he was far more concerned with me that day than himself and that's all you need to know about the man. He was nothing but class and he will be missed. Prayers sent for the family. See you on the water someday my friend.

damnit... I had no idea. I've known Robin since I was a kid. Her sons David and Dustin are dear friends of mine, unfortunately I've not spoken with them in some time. Last time I saw bren was at their crawfish boil a couple years back.

Bren was one of a kind. I had the pleasure to get to know Bren and he became a good friend and great neighbor. I have spent many nights on his porch talking about fishing, the old days, his family, his baseball career.... Nights I will never forget. You will be missed bubba. Till I see you you again.
Tight lines.
