hey guys
my sister gave me a rod and reel the trail worthy sp1000
so i was going to put line on it and try it out.
but it appears to be left handed and dont look like it can be switched to the other side.
are they made for left or right handed people or is there a trick to make them for your right hand.
ron

I'll bite, and always happy to help. It looks like that's a spinning reel and might be set up for a left-handed reel/right handed cast. If you're right-handed the reel handle will be on the left side. If you want to change it, it looks like it's do-able. There's a round plastic cap on the reel opposite the handle. Unscrew this and remove that cap by turning it counter-clockwise. Now, grab the reel handle and hold the spool and turn it backwards. It will start to unscrew, keep at it until it comes off, then just insert and screw it into the other side. Reinstall that round plastic cap onto the other side of the reel to keep water and dirt out and go fishing! Good luck to you!
