Thanks guys. Kinda resembled a snakehead to me, or at least what id seen on TV shows of them. Wanted to make sure it was supposed to be here

Yeah I've been looking at pictures now that I know what it is, you're right, those snakeheads looks mean. I've not looked into them much cause I didn't think id come across one lol. I'm surprised I've never caught a log perch before though

What lake did this come out of? I've never seen or heard of a log perch and I've been fishing all my life. Strange looking creature for sure.

Caught them in a lot of west Texas lakes. Can be a pain in a cast net.

I catch quite a few of them in Benbrook. Anybody ever use them for bait? I have never tried myself.
