He and I were fishing a club tournament on Cedar Creek and we pass over a brush pile in front of a dock. I tell him that there is a big brush pile and I want to fish it for a minute and then mark it. I put my T-rig trick worm in the pile about 4 times before I get a bite. It is all hung up in the brush and I have my Dad go toward the pile so I can try and un-stick this massive fish. We get just past the pile and the fish swims out of it and is untangled.

After the fish untangles, we know that it's not a bass because of the "action" and the fight is on for then next 10 minutes. I get the fish up to the boat and Dad lifts her up and doesn't get ANY slime on my carpet. Thanks Dad and I had a great time fishing with you. He ended up with 2nd place in my club and I ended up 3rd. It was a good day Tator.

Thanks guys, we have a blast fishing together. He lives in OKC and we try and fish several times a year, but this year has been different, we've only fished this once, but it was a great day.

A brief recap: We launched at 6:30 (water temp 84 and a light S wind) and made our way to our first spot where we fished a shallow hump with grass. He was throwing a buzz and I, a Yellow Magic. Two short fish slapped at his buzz and that was it. About 30 minutes later we were next to a dock and I tossed a T-rig in there and got bit and I lost a 2.5 at the side of the boat. From that moment I knew that it was a dock fishing day. All of our fish were caught under docks in 2-6' of water. I was using red shad trick worm and Dad was using Zoom greenie weenie. I don't know how many we ended up catching, but it was a bunch. Some of the fish were way back on the docks and some were right under the front.
