I'm thinking that the boat buddy is a good thing to have but have heard that it requires a lot of maintaining especially when you work with the lever to release your boat. What are your thoughts? This is the item that allows you to winch your boat automatically when loading.

I had one on my bass boat for about 6 yrs. Loved it! Just spray some lithium grease on it every once in a while and it's good to go.

Seems like I had to replace the thing every two years for some reason, they need to build them better.
