Last time I was out there they had sprayed...lily pads were gone and most of the hyacinth was dead. That was about a month ago. It was cool and cloudy that day because of a huge front and the bite was nonexistent. For me anyways.

Might be overreaction, but since the young student's unfortunate death, me and the dog will be avoiding the deadly waters until 1st major cold front...dog likes to swim and an angler never know when he might fall in.

Brain-eating amoeba. Scary stuff. Did some research on it though and apparently you have to actually suck the water up your nose to get it...mere contact with the water won't infect you.

Nevermind, found it. Weird that it happened there, is usually only in stagnant water and that place is usually pretty clear and clean, especially near the swimming area.

I was just there last week for three days.

Caught this little guy, and missed 3 others that same day. Next day I put my wife at the trolling motor, and she missed 3, same area.

Leave the boat ramp, and if you are facing AWAY from the boat ramp, turn right and go alllll the way to the back of that cove. Fish both banks. All strikes we had that day were on small buzz baits, white, pitched right to the shore around the fallen trees. The strikes were immediate as that buzz bait hit and started moving.

My biggest out of raven was about 4 lbs, my buddies biggest was 10. So I know there's some big fish in there.

I was out there Sunday evening in the rain, caught a fee on cranks and dropshots. Not really any vegetation left...caught a 4' gator on a fluke a couple weeks ago, thought I had a lake record bass for a minute
