I'm thinking that the boat buddy is a good thing to have but have heard that it requires a lot of maintaining especially when you work with the lever to release your boat. What are your thoughts? This is the item that allows you to winch your boat automatically when loading.

have had one for a year, like they say, dont know what I did without it,when you run your boat up the trailer and hear that click make loading your boat a snap.you still need your crank to use when you run down the road, get one you wont be sorry

I had one on my bass boat for about 6 yrs. Loved it! Just spray some lithium grease on it every once in a while and it's good to go.

Seems like I had to replace the thing every two years for some reason, they need to build them better.
