Visited the Angelina river today with my dad (Below rayburn dam towards bevilsport). Water temp 80-83. Water clarity 2 foot below surface. No cloud cover. Little wind. Caught 28 all together with limit in the livewell. 2 separate patterns worked today. My dad was catching numerous fish on senkos fished off the bottom in about 10 foot of water with a few here and there on rattle trap and spinner bait. I caught fish all day on a yellow magic popper. Also caught fish early on an ultra vibe fished subsurface resembling a frog. Bite slowed when corps started to generate around lunch. Look for shad and small bream running along the banks along with schools of bass near the creek channel openings into the river. Schools will boil the surface sparingly here and there. Most fish were caught in the morning on the west side of the banks opposite of the sun. It did get hot but had a blast.
