How difficult is it? Looks like I can get the plugs for less than $10 ea at O'Reilly's. Firestone wants $260 to do it for me. I have changed plugs in other vehicles before, but this price diff makes me wonder if there is something special about it? Thank you

Not too bad a job at all. Do yourself a favor and use Motorcraft plugs and replace the coil boots. The 260 sounds pretty fair.

Thank you Wesley. I just looked at a youtube vid and it doesn't seem too complicated. I just don't know if I want to take the time. I'm at 90k miles. Too soon? I don't notice any problems with performance or fuel economy (whatever that means in a truck).

Truck is due for a set of plugs. When you pull the plugs inspect the porcelain for carbon tracking. Ecoboost where known for this. I would be happy to do it for you but am running out of time. Heading to ford next week and then we are expecting our second child . It's really not too bad a job. About an hours worth at the most.

Thanks to the rain, I got time to change my plugs. Wasn't too bad of a job. Took me about 1.5 hours. I went slow and made sure I didn't mess anything else up in the process. Plugs cost me $53. Didn't change the boots- OReillys didn't have them in stock. They are $20 each. I know what it feels like when those things go bad. Thanks for the encouragement!

I had to change mine at 60k miles. I developed a bad miss under load. I got lucky a set of plugs fixed it. I went to the auto parts stores and none of them had the plugs in stock. I ended up buying them at the ford dealer. Mine is also a 2011 eco boost.
