What chip do y'all prefer for fishing the Texas bays and inshore? Needs to be Humminbird and Lowrance compatible. Thanks

Navionics+ Preloaded.
You can view all the maps on the Navionics websites's Web App. They are current. You can have the exact same maps when you do an update if you purchase that card.

Agree with Wayne P....going with the Nav+ will allow you to use the card no matter where you decide to fish, not just limit you to a region or a saltwater/freshwater applications.

No, it would be the same data as a Premium chart card, but you have the option to purge the preload and download just the areas you want and will recieve Platinum level data, but without the 3d and land overlay.

you have the option of purging the card when you do the update...if you purge the card(delete on loaded info) it will then be a blank Nav+ card. You will then be prompted to draw boxes around the bodies of water you want to fish and download them to your card, making your own custom mapping card. As you download, it will show you how much room is left on the chip, you can repeat this process as often as you like. Let me know if you have any other questions.

On the Nav+, if you purge the card, it will delete the preloaded info, and will be replaced with the data you choose to load. Since you already have some type of mapping card, you can actucally buy and updates card for $99 and use your existing card to activate it, then there is no purging nec. The updates card comes as a blank Nav+ without preloaded data for half the cost since you are already a Navionics User. http://www.navionics.com/en/navionics-updates
