Bluegill and Crappie are a pretty good combination! Nice fish. Side Note: I was catching a lot of Bluegill this summer while fishing some Crappie Spots. Seems they like the same brush piles as the Crappie!

I've been getting a lot of pecking at Bardwell on certain piles. I assumed they were Bluegill, as I did catch a few. Almost never in the mouth. The crappie have a different strike all together.

Jackson, it was more they gave me the business and they have me mad at them now! They fixin to get it good, I ain't playing next time. As for the Slab Slobber, I am going to tie a rag on my jig and see if that works better.

Tie that rag soaked with slobber to a string and put a weight on it and sink by your tree. Should draw all the big ones in fast.

I'm a big believer in the Slab Slobber, all the baits I use are soaked in the Garlic formula, but I have a drip bottle with the original shad formula that gets used constantly. I have the stick applicator also, but I had to put it in a Ziploc bag as it melts and leaks on everything. It could be a confidence thing, but however it works, it works for me I have 2 jars of nibbles that I don't use......Too much of a pain, set some out for easy access, can't let them get wet or blow away, every time something hits your bait you have to put another on.

I tried Slab Slobber again today, added a piece of sponge and soak it down with slobber, it didn't help I didn't catch a fish.

Maybe it wasn't a big enough chunk of soaked foam. You should try about a 1/3 of an old foam mattress soaked in that stuff.
