Might go Sunday only been once before and that was 6 years ago water was 5ft high so I'm sure it will look completely different now. Any tips or ideas? Just fun fishing since I moved to tyler and its little over an hour away I'm gonna try and fish it some

I was there over Labor day weekend. I fished the lower end but to stay away from the pleasure boats I went up in the creeks and found coves and flats full of flooded brush. Caught them on poppers, weightless flukes, and t-rigged u- tail worms with a split shot weight. All were pretty decent with the biggest being a little over 6. Tried the upper end and couldn't put a pattern together there. The fish I did catch on the upper end were caught by doing the same thing as I did on the lower end. Good luck hope this helps!

It's a beautiful lake. You can find any kind of structure you want on the Pines. But you must plan some time back in the river. Grass galore and there are some magnums back in there.....excellent environment for frogging. It is a big lake and a great fishery.
