Obviously when I fish a tube with a insert head-exposed hook my hook-up ratio is higher than when
I T rig the tube. But today I was missing quite a few fish on the T rig. Biggest problem I think was a lot of
the bites I was getting were from dinks.

Anybody got a tips or tricks that help hook more fish on the T rig tube. It seems funny because with a T rigged senko my hook-ups are close to 100%.

They may be nipping at the tentacles at the end of the tube. Otherwise, just skin hook the point and get er done

What bait with what hook?

Too many variables for sizing it right

Try snelling a flipping hook. Seems to work.

Turtles and bluegills were the culprit in my cases.

Are you using a tube hook and inserting it at a 45 degree angle instead of straight in?

Agree, snelling the hook is a good idea.

I catch a lot of fish on white coffee tubes. . .but I had a similar issue when I started using them. The fish would constantly grab the bait by the skirt. Now I trim about 1/2 inch off and my hookups are fine now. I use a 3/0 EWG Gammy.

Use the biggest hook you can get away with, and make sure its a wide gap.

I recently made a video showing a trick that I use to catch more fish with a tube.

Rigging a tube for better hook ups
