Loc: A small blue spot on planet ea...
Belinda & I went out yesterday afternoon just to see if the fish were still biting.......
That and Belinda was in need of some THUMPS!
It didn't take long to find them clap

And for once, Belinda didn't rule the day bannana2

She did catch some nice fish, but I don't think she likes it when I grab the 9' rod roflmao

Guess we will have to get her one of the 10'6 or 12' G-Rods cheers

It was pretty much the same story at every spot e hit, but for 2 that just had too many dinks.
We'd catch 4 or 5, then a solid fish would hit!

We caught a lot of fish in the 10-12" range that we just threw back, wasn't really on a meat run thumb

We are going to Franklin this weekend to my Uncle & Aunt's anniversary party.......I may just have a good present for them food

Late afternoon, I told Belinda that I was done......She said "But we haven't hit the broken tree or the big stump yet!"
She was having a blast, so I hung in there long enough for her to wreck havoc on 2 more spots.

We caught our fish in 18-24 fow, 15-17' down on brush piles and laydowns
I was using the Pearl Ice and Belinda was using the "Natural Shad" we used 1/16 jigs in the spots that were out in the wind and 1/32 where it was calmer
The water temp was 84.5........Didn't see any signs of the lake turning over hmmm

While drinking our coffee on the porch this morning, Belinda said she dreamed about catching GIANT SLABS!
1 even broke her line off at the reel and she had to hand line it in roflmao
She is also proud of how scuffed up her thumb is!!!!!
Will have to go back soon, but will fish a different area and compare what the fish are doing.

P.S. Hickory Nut......Belinda said she owes you a meal, we fished 2 of the spots on the point that you showed me cheers

You beat me to it. I recognized that spot with Belinda holding up one of MY fish😊 Glad some are still there. I decided to stay around here and help some friends try to keep the doves from devastating their fields. I got some more dove breast for you and slew foot.

Good report, Those in the 10-12 foot maybe feeding on threadfin shad and those colors should stay good for a while yet.

I used to live down there Darrell, not what I'd call God's country roflmao

I'm a NE Texas boy, my roots kept draggin me back. I gave up attempting to leave thumb

We snuck back out yesterday evening.....WOW, should have not gone to another area.......The wind kicked our Arse!
I did find some new structure, finally gave up fighting the wind and settled in on a big laydown out of the wind.
Caught a lot of little fish, with some keepers mixed in, but no real quality fish.
