Going to Toledo Bend at the end of the month to fish for a week. I have only fished there twice both times in a bass champs tournament this year. I fell in love with the lake just like my fishing partner said I would. Only problem is I live seven hours away. I'm 20 years old trying to figure bass fishing out. What should the water temperature be? Water color? And will fish be moving shad into the backs of creeks by then? I'm fishing the 30th- 6th hopefully will be the best vacation ever!

If we get some cool nights the shad may be moving by then. I've read some reports that say there are already shad in the backs of some of the smaller creeks. I don't think there is a bad time to be on Toledo right now. You should have a great trip. You might consider hiring a guide your first day there to tune you into what the fish are doing then. Good luck to you.

Fin and Feather in my signature....and if you chose a guide, you should really consider Darold Gleason!!
He is top notch and 'knows' that lake...
Tom (the owner) of Fin and Feather will take first class care of you....and he and Darold are good friends.
JMO but, you sure won't regret it
God Bless
