Went out Sat. for 6 hours and saw a bunch of bait fish on the graph but no takers. Only caught 5 sandies

wow, we went out on Sunday and had a hard time not catching them. we kept a 3 man limit and probably thru back that many smaller ones.

It may have been because of the cold front just going through, or just me I have not been out there for a long time. I went to some deep spots, the gravel pit and the twin poles, and even out by the fishing barge and nothing. Maybe they moved from all those spots.

what I found so far is that I have not caught them on the deep spots this year, normally I would be fishing deadmans, hackberry point, gravel pits, etc, I have found more in 10 to 15 ft, look for the humps in that range.

They are starting to show up in shallower areas. The deep holes are producing but its just been better shallow

I've been catching them I'm 10-16FOW lately. Look for birds. don't forget about the cuts and any large mid lake flats you can find

Good advice. It was somewhat windy yesterday, so I used the drift sock over a couple of different flats in 15-22 feet of water and did well bumping the slab on the bottom.
