We are going northeast in November for a 3-day weekend. Does anyone have a place they can recommend to me? I know there are all kinds of motels. I want to stay in a place that I will not have problems parking my boat overnight.

Thanks in advance.

Be safe,
Rayzor

There are cabins at Martin creek you can rent. Nothing special, but they get the job done. Other than that, longview is the closest place I would feel comfortable keeping the boat in the parking lot.

If it was just me, I would be fine with them but I will have my Wife with me. No TV, no linens, no internet; she ain't going for that. Surely someone has stayed somewhere up there that they can recommend.

There is a reasonably new motel in Tatum. I have never stayed there, but the lot is well lit at night. I don,t really know how convienent it will be to park a truck & trailer close to a room though. You might try a google search for lodging in Tatum to find contact info for them & call & see if they can accomodate a boat.

The closest will be the Baymont in Tatum, 903-947-6100. It gets a lot of tournament fishermen during the winter months. Other than that, the closest will be in Henderson and/or Carthage. Lake Murval is close by also if Martin Creek doesn't work for you.
