The front deck on my Grizzly 1448 was too small so I made a removable deck extension. Its 38" long x 59" wide x 15" deep, weighs 30lbs. A 24 volt trolling battery fits in the center under the deck. I've been using it for about a year and its worked great...makes fishing from the front deck a lot easier and creates a fair amount of under deck storage. The plywood decking is fastened onto the frame with brass cabinet screws and sinkers so the decking is easy to remove and one person can easily lift the frame out of the boat making plenty of room for duck hunting stuff.
Materials:
2x2 cedar
2x3 cedar
deck screws
3/8" plywood
2" aluminum L channel
Restore 4X Deck Coat

Very nice thumb

I really like this solution to keep the wood deck cool in the summer, water proof, and anti slip.
You can buy the polyester resin+catalyst, talc (silica), fiberglass, flowcoat+catalyst (gel coat), etc from US Composites.

Very nice I really like this. This winter I'm building one out or aluminum.
