Went out today in the upper Laguna Madre and stayed around pita island. Saw lots of reds around grassy and Sandy areas. However, it was hard to fish due to all the boats cutting across my drift. Come on guys, be more courteous!!!

This is the first year I didnt not take a charter on a Saturday all summer unless it was a tournament.
It made my life soooo much better. I hated fishing on Saturday with all the Goons running all over the fish that have been there all week.

Saturday I cut grass, maintain equipment, play with granddaughter, anything but hit the water, unless it's a xxtra low tide, which keeps the potlickers contained, it's not worth the pain.

Now that I'm officially a man of leisure, I also try to keep off of the water on weekends, let the working gang have their time.

Heck I'm up on them 5 to 2. Ha Ha Ha ........

I usually go during the week but I hadn't been able to go out in a while so I went out on Sunday. Next time I'll wait for a weekday. Its too frustrating.
