Went to a garage sale yesterday and came away with 4 Penn 4400 SS spinning reels and 1 spare spool, one Penn 850 SS spinning reel, and a spare spool for a Penn 430 SS which I already had. All in great condition, drags seem to work OK, all can be back reeled, and none are grinding. All will get a try in a few weeks down in the Gulf. Lady I bought them from said she and her late husband used to fish quite a bit down near Rockport and that after each trip the reels were taken and professionally cleaned, lubed, and repaired as necessary. Yahoo! Oh yes, and it was all for $100.

Sounds like a great deal to me. I have a 6500 SS and it is well over 20 years old and still cranking.
