The calendar said it's supposed to be late Fall or early Winter, but the temps said it was Spring all last week! Temperatures in the high 70's and even low 80's made for nice trips on Tuesday, Friday and even Saturday Morning before the rain arrived. The Catfish continue to be our focus as the Lake is still very stained, a little less than a foot above Pool Level, a consistent current as Spillway Gates are open, and now another 3" or more rain on Sunday. Looks like it's Catfishing until the Lake returns to some degree of normal in the Spring! The bite was slower than the past few weeks and each trip we had to really move around a lot, fish hard, cull a lot of small fish and end with a 35-45 fish box of Keepers for our Customers. Still, it was a GREAT WEEK to be on the Lake with Old Friends and New Customers, and everyone went home with plenty of filets!

We're fishing over "baited holes" on the South Shoreline up from Fisherman's Point Marina. Danny King's Punch Bait on a # 4 Treble Hook in 15'-20' water has been our key to a box of fish! Fished Thursday, Friday and Saturday last week with long time Customers who love the Fall Fishing! We continue to fish over "Baited Holes" with Danny Kings Punch Bait and the result is usually a full box of Catfish! Friday's fishing was a bit better than the other two days as we managed a 50 fish limit of Blues and Channels. The other two days we had 35 and 37 Keepers respectively. We had a few big fish and a few "Ones That Got Away" stories to tell! Adam and I have openings the week between Christmas and New Years if you want to enjoy some Lake Time and catch some Catfish!
