In your opinion, does the color of crappie nibble make a difference? I have only used chartreuse or pink and have not noticed a difference in the 2. I have not used the white, yellow or fancy flake versions yet and wonder if I should invest in some.
Thanks for any input!!

Most days, No, but there's always those tough days where it could make a difference.

I've used Chartreuse, Pink, and White and caught fish using all 3. Some days it does not matter and sometimes they won't hit it without it.

Fancy Flake is not needed. Chartreuse, Pink, and White will get you bit. Mrs. Dutch uses them all the time with Great Success. She won't leave home without them.

They all work the same. I like white because it doesn't mess up the boat as much. I will use other colors only because they were on sale and I got them cheap. Otherwise, I will use white. They do work and I will not be fishing without them. I will not buy the flake ones because of what Jig Man said. They will catch fish though.

Pink and Chart are always good jig colors, so I usually stick with those for nibble colors too. Won D2 at the CAT State Tourney this past weekend, and we caught most of our fish off docks using a 1/16oz jig tipped with a chart crappie nibble. Honestly though, I doubt the color matters. I think it just makes them hold onto the bite a little better, letting you get a good hook set. My

I had the same question years ago and a friend solved it! Jig color matters nibbles smells matters IMHO, when fishing with tube jig a old head at the marina would laugh at me when a brim would take my nibblet as soon as my jig hit the water. He taught me how to take a piece of cotton the same size of the nibblet and mat them together and put inside the tube jig. It lasted forever and brim couldn't take it and the attractant was still there for the crappie. Ruff

No doubt...I hate scrubbing the die off my boat so I only use the white ones.....

I always start out using crappie nibbles. I think they help if the bite is slow. If the bites are coming frequently, then I quit using them.
Throw hints out to your family around Christmas, maybe they'll put them in your Christmas stocking. They make good stocking stuffers for a crappie fisherman.
If we concentrated on the really important stuff in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles
