H&H Spinner bait when tank fishing the crawdad Hellbender on lakes.

still always carry more that 1 of those in the tackle box.

Lazy Ike was my favorite to throw but a yellow with black dots/chrome blade inline spinner was probably what I caught the most on followed by a pre rigged Creme worm with the little propeller blade and beeds.

3.Smithwick Devil's Horse with the propellers on front and back, would use them today but they don't make the same color...

Gotta go with the old Kastmaster Spoon. Caught my first fish on one of those and caught just about every species that had fins (and some that didnt!)

My grandad was a true-blue crappie fisherman, but he had a red-white jitterbug that he would throw around the banks at his church camp on the lake in
Missouri. As a kid following him everywhere I marveled at the bait....gurgle-gurgle-gurgle....POW, bass on.
They still work.
