The blue cats are biting. Mostly good eating box fish are biting now. But the larger trophy fish will biting as the weather cools. Come on out and fish in my comfortable 22' pontoon. I furnish all bait, tackle and bottled water for the trip. Plus clean and bag your catch at the boat ramp. I will also be making the trip to Lake Tawakoni a few times this winter for the large trophy blues. Check out my pictures and rates on my website and give me a call if you would like me to take you fishing this fall and winter.

You have some very competitive rates. This would be a great deal for someone wanting to learn how to target blues.

You can clean fish, just put the carcasses in buckets and dispose of properly.

Good luck with that on Lavon. Both game wardens have made it clear they do not allow fish cleaning at the lake period. I know what the regs say,but they are the guys with the ticket books. I would think that as a guide, the op would like to be on the game wardens good side. If you don't believe me, ask Carey Thorn (Tarponfly) his experience.

I haven't had any problem with them but I will stay on their good side for sure or go somewhere else to clean if they do give me a problem. Don't want to stir them up. Don't need a ticket for sure.

You will not have a problem with Josh or Leroy if you are properly disposing of fish waste. If putting into a bucket and haulin away they will not hassle you. If you are cleaning fish and throwing carcasses back into the water or throwing into the dumpster then yes, you will likely get a ticket. Most dumpster clearly state that fish carcasses are not to be dumped there. Folks don't want the carcasses rotting right at the shoreline smellin up the parks either.

Any one else notice that the fish in the bottom right pic, being held in the lap of a young man, looks a lot like a gigantic channel cat, anal fin looks a bit rounded. not the tapered strait edge that you see so pronounced in Lavon Blues.
Then again could be just me.

Catch and release into the grease!
