Crappie were biting last week and still biting this week. Bryan H and I managed to get 25 keepers yesterday morning before we got too hot. Went through lots of small crappie, tons of small bass, channel cat and blue cat. Didn't have any giant fish but the fish are healthy and fat. Lost several goods ones wrapped in the limbs. Fished timber 20+. Most fish on bottom. Jig bite too slow. Most on minnows. Too hot for finesse fishing. Had to get it down there and get them out. This cool front should help the bite and turn on the jig bite.

Sometimes you do what you gotta do! minners come in handy at times.

Yup. I like jig fishing, but minners have been the best bite since Ray Bob got down to near normal level. Lots of competition for food with all the small fish in the lake now.
