Just thought I would share the pride I felt when I saw this pic.  "Avid readers of Bassmaster Magazine and Bassmaster.com may remember a recent story about Brent “Soldier Cyclops” Homan, and how bass fishing has contributed to the multifaceted healing process of several injuries he suffered eight years ago when a roadside IED hit his Bradley Fighting Vehicle. Homan is competing in this week’s Bass Pro Shops Central Open on Fort Gibson Reservoir in Oklahoma, and graciously shared a practice day on the water with contributor Alan McGuckin and his camera to provide further insight to the challenges, passion and perseverance that leave those who meet him honored to call him their friend, and often times “hero.” I had the pleasure of spending a long weekend with this guy and he is one cool dude. Class act of him sharing his boat. Good luck to Brent and the other TFF'ers I know competing this week.

People who don't fish can never understand the therapeutic element. Just sitting in the water, away from it all, nature sounds around you, trying to outsmart a fish that has an IQ of 6. . .it's like a reset button for your brain.

Yep. Ran into him at "Bent Hook" tackle shop last night in Wagoner. Genuinely nice guy. We split the last two bags of Hard Head green pumpkin lizards. Haha. Swapped some ideas. And wished each other luck.
